Each year ADTH adopts over 150 impoverished families in our community. We help make their Christmas special by providing gifts, household necessities, and grocery gift cards.

Adopt a family

Individuals, families, teams, or groups can adopt a family. Each child on the list should receive two basic necessities and two gifts of fun items. The family also receives a household essentials basket and grocery gift cards.
Our goal is to send the adopted family information and wish list to all donor families by Nov. 24.

We rely on dedicated volunteers to help us contact families, sort supplies, and distribute gifts.

Donate Grocery Gift Cards

Each family receives gift cards to grocery stores so their family can enjoy a holiday meal.
Denominations of $25, $50, or $100 are preferred for ease of distribution. Thank you for your generosity and support!
To donate grocery gift cards, please send them to A Doorway to Hope at: P. O. Box 911, Cary, NC 27512 by December 9th or contact us to coordinate a drop-off time. Food Lion, Target, and Walmart are preferred stores.
